New Cinnaholic Outlet in Queen Creek Brings Vegan Treats to the Area

cinnaholic-opens

The Hodl Family is back in the bakery business with the grand opening of the Cinnaholic Gourmet Bakery outlet on May 24, serving the residents of Queen Creek and San Tan Valley. Located at 37584 N. Gantzel Road in the Vineyard Town Centre Mall, this new addition is set to delight local dessert enthusiasts with its unique offerings.

Cinnaholic, already renowned nationwide for its Vegan Cinnamon Rolls, will feature an extensive menu of upscale baked goods, including brownies, coffee cakes, and cookies. Under the management of Hodl Rolls LLC, the bakery is led by Matthew K. Hodl and Telor Cansler, a dynamic duo bringing extensive experience from both the food service and retail management sectors.

Matthew Hodl, a familiar face in the local food industry with previous roles at Red Robin Restaurant in Gilbert and Uncle Bear's in Queen Creek, is excited to bring his family's baking legacy back to life. His partner, Telor Cansler, has managed multiple retail corporations and shares Matthew's passion for vegan baking.

The opening of this Cinnaholic outlet marks the return of the Hodl Family to the bakery business after four generations. Their story dates back to 1915, when Sabin and Helen Brudnicki, the maternal grandparents of James and Kenneth Hodl, operated Sabin's Bakery in Chicago. Known for their Polish Rye Breads, Bobkas, and Kolachis, Sabin's Bakery was a neighborhood staple until it closed during the Great Depression. The family's baking tradition continued through the years, culminating in Matthew's home baking endeavors and now the Cinnaholic franchise.

"I really like the Cinnaholic concept of offering Vegan-recipe pastries," Matthew explained. "Without dairy ingredients, the pastries are safe for people who have milk and egg allergies. And yet the pastries are as tasty and tickle one's sweets palate as well or better than the standard product."

Cinnaholic's signature vegan cinnamon rolls can be customized with 20 unique toppings, including Caramel Apple Pie, Very Berry, and Campfire S'mores. The bakery also offers brownies, cookies, bite-size baby buns, cookie cakes, and edible cookie dough, all perfect for pairing with gourmet coffee or the unique Dole Soft Serve pineapple ice cream.

The opening of the Queen Creek/San Tan Valley Cinnaholic also has a romantic angle. "After falling in love with Telor and realizing she was into veganism, I promised her that I would one day open a vegan bakery with her," Matthew says. "Securing the Cinnaholic franchise fulfills my promise."

While the new Cinnaholic outlet is technically in Queen Creek, it is located in Pinal County, just on the border of San Tan Valley, making it a valuable addition to our community. The bakery's opening brings a new, exciting option for delicious, vegan-friendly treats to the area, contributing to the local economy and offering residents another reason to celebrate our vibrant region.

Be sure to visit the new Cinnaholic shop and indulge in their vegan pastries. It's a sweet addition to our community that you won't want to miss!
